About Caynaan Association
Caynaan Association is a UK registered charity, established to address under- development, in the arid and hard -to- reach parts of the Horn of African countries, inhabited by herders and nomadic communities of Somali and Ethiopia.
We aim to do this through initiating and running poverty alleviation projects and activities and advancement of awareness and education among the herders and the nomadic communities on how to preserve and protect their environment through good animal husbandry and livestock management, and train them on ways to build capacities for food security and general water management by digging wells and boreholes.

Poverty and Water Shortage Alleviation
The prevention and relief of poverty among the herders and nomadic communities of Somali and Ethiopia through the provision of education programmes on how to preserve and protect their environment, food security, and water security through the construction of wells and boreholes.
Environment and Heritage Conservation
Initiating and running of poverty alleviation projects, and education programmes on environment preservation and protection through good animal husbandry and livestock management, and building capacities for food security and general water management by digging wells and boreholes.
Economic and Community Development
Environmental preservation and improvement of health among the herders and nomadic communities of Ethiopia and Somali, by providing appropriate support, and running of health improvement programmes on healthy eating, sanitation, reproductive health and immunisation.
